Share Your Studio Designs with Anyone

We’re excited to introduce project sharing - one of our most requested features. Now you can share your studio designs with anyone through secure, read-only links. No signup required for viewers, just a simple link that works.

Studio design is collaborative. Share your layout with contractors for accurate quotes, get client feedback on equipment placement, or coordinate with team members on cable routing. With project sharing, anyone with the link can explore your full design in their browser - pan and zoom around the layout, switch between canvas and connections views, and examine the bill of materials. They experience your design the way you see it.

How It Works

From your Projects page, click the share icon on any project card. Click “Generate Share Link” to create a unique URL. The link is immediately ready to copy and send.

What Recipients See

When someone opens your share link, they see your complete studio design in read-only mode. They can:

Explore the Canvas: Pan, zoom, and inspect your equipment layout
View Connections: See all your cable routing and connection types
Review the BOM: Access the complete bill of materials with quantities and cable lengths
Read Annotations: See all your notes and documentation

The interface displays “View Only Mode” so recipients understand they’re viewing a shared project. They can’t modify your design, add equipment, or change connections.

Managing Shared Projects

Shared projects display a “Shared” badge on your Projects page. You can disable sharing at any time - this immediately revokes access to the link.

Client Presentations: Share your proposed layout with clients before finalizing equipment purchases. They can explore the design at their own pace and see exactly what cables and connections are involved.

Contractor Bidding: Send your detailed design to contractors for accurate quotes. They can see the complete layout, connection requirements, and equipment list in one place.

Team Collaboration: Working with remote consultants? Share your design so everyone is looking at the same thing. They can review your cable routing and reference specific equipment.

Documentation: Create a permanent link to completed builds for your portfolio. Viewers can explore the full design interactively rather than just seeing static images.

Important to Know

Recipients don’t need to sign up or log in to view shared projects
Shared links are read-only - no one can modify your designs
You can revoke access anytime by disabling sharing
Your studio name is visible in shared projects

Getting Started

Project sharing is available now to all StudioFlow users. Simply open your Projects page, click the share icon on any project, and generate your first share link.
