Custom Gear Creation

Your studio likely includes equipment that isn’t in our catalog yet. Now you can add any piece of gear with full specifications, ensuring your studio documentation is complete and accurate.

Comprehensive Specifications

When creating custom gear, you can define every important detail:

  • Physical Dimensions: Set exact width, height, and depth measurements
  • Rack Compatibility: Specify rack unit height for mountable equipment
  • Brand and Model: Document manufacturer and product information
  • Full I/O Configuration: Add unlimited inputs and outputs with specific connector types

Advanced Connection Management

Define each connection with complete accuracy:

  • Connection Types: Choose from XLR, TRS, RCA, MIDI, USB, Ethernet, and more
  • Signal Direction: Specify inputs, outputs, or bidirectional connections
  • Physical Connectors: Define whether connections use plugs or sockets
  • Port Naming: Label each connection for easy identification

Quick Connection Templates

Save time when adding multiple similar connections. Use the Quick Add feature to rapidly create multiple ports of the same type. Perfect for adding 8 XLR inputs or 16 channel snakes without repetitive data entry.

Drag-and-Drop Connection Ordering

Organize your equipment’s connections exactly how they appear on the physical device. The new drag-and-drop reordering makes it easy to match your documentation to reality.

Visual Organization

Drag connections up or down in the list to match the physical layout of your equipment. This is especially helpful for devices with specific port arrangements or when you want inputs grouped separately from outputs.

Instant Updates

Changes to connection order immediately update throughout your project. The Connections view automatically reflects the new arrangement, keeping your cable documentation consistent and easy to follow.
